Premier League club Everton is reportedly targeting four English players to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. The Toffees are looking to secure the signings of Chelsea’s Liam Delap, Arsenal’s Ben White, and Manchester City duo John Stones and Jack Grealish this summer. This ambitious recruitment drive aims to strengthen a squad that has been notably thin this season, with several current players expected to depart the Merseyside outfit.

Manager David Moyes is keen to move Everton forward, and this quartet represents the start of a significant overhaul. The club needs to address several problem areas, particularly the full-back positions, where the team has lacked depth throughout the current campaign.

Signing Arsenal's Ben White could provide a versatile solution for the defensive issues, as the former Brighton defender has demonstrated his ability to play across the Gunners' backline. Meanwhile, a deal for Jack Grealish is anticipated to be more straightforward, potentially as another loan or for a modest fee. The England international previously revitalized his career on loan at Merseyside before a stress fracture cut his season short. Grealish has expressed a desire to remain, and Manchester City is reportedly eager to remove him from their wage bill, making a compromise likely.

Liam Delap, who has struggled to make a significant impact at Chelsea since his move from Ipswich Town last summer, is also on Everton's radar. The forward has made only 11 Premier League starts this season, scoring just twice across all competitions. Although he previously chose south west London over a move to Everton, there are now suggestions that Delap would be open to returning to the North West, where he developed in Manchester City's academy.

Another former Manchester City player, centre-back John Stones, is set to leave the Citizens this summer when his contract expires. Everton is among the clubs heavily linked with a move for the England international, who first rose to prominence at Goodison Park before his switch to City in 2016. However, Stones is reportedly attracting interest from top European clubs, including Bayern Munich and AC Milan, which could complicate Everton's pursuit.
