Everton were interested in signing Fulham attacker Harry Wilson on a free transfer this summer. However, the Toffees did not want to match his wage demands, according to The Times.
What happened?
Everton manager David Moyes wants quality additions ahead of next season after missing out on Europe last term. Wilson fits the bill, contributing 24 Premier League goals for Fulham across the last two seasons.
Why it matters for Everton
The Blues have a couple of attackers on their radar, with Levante striker Karl Etta Eyong reportedly an option. Juventus winger Edon Zhegrova is also an option, while RB Leipzig are in contact with Everton over a summer transfer deal for Thierno Barry.

What comes next?
Everton will have to splash the cash on targets in the position, having missed out on signing Wilson for free. Leeds United have agreed a four-year deal worth around £120,000 a week with the 29-year-old, while Aston Villa remain interested in the Wales international.
As of now, Everton are focusing on other transfer targets to boost their chances of securing one of the European spots next season. With the current league standing and recent form, the Toffees need to make some quality additions to their squad.
