Everton and Roma are involved in a transfer circle over full-backs Givairo Read and Nahuel Molina. Everton and Roma are chasing Nahuel Molina this summer, according to reports from Gianluca di Marzio and Alessio Lento. The Atletico Madrid defender currently prefers a move to Italy, with Roma pushing for him in case they can’t close a deal for Read. The Italian side have submitted a second offer – €25m plus €3m in add-ons – to Feyenoord and are now awaiting the Dutch club’s response. Read’s agents have prioritised a move to Roma and are attempting to lower Feyenoord’s demands. But there is no optimism on that front. Because of that, Roma have turned their attention to Nahuel Molina. They are now pursuing a deal worth €15m plus add-ons. The Argentine is being targeted so that the Serie A side can be ready to add a solution to the squad that is favoured by Gian Piero Gasperini. He even wanted Molina when he was coach at Atalanta. They are ready to finalise the deal for him if Feyenoord do not lower their demands. That would see them step ahead of Everton in the process. But it would also open the door for Nottingham Forest to get their long-gestating deal for Givairo Read going again. They’ve been trying to get a deal for the 20-year-old over line but the competition from Roma was not making matters easy. Now the Italians could be set to leave the battle, leaving the route clear for Nottingham Forest.
