Everton travel to Tottenham Hotspur this weekend still unbeaten in the Premier League, aiming to build on Sunday's two-all draw, 2-2, at home to Manchester United on 6 September.

Everton twice came from behind against Manchester United, with substitute Tyrique George scoring his first goal for the club in the 83rd minute, set up by H. Hackney, before Ainley Maitland-Niles levelled in the 90th minute for his first Premier League goal in almost eight years. Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko had put United ahead either side of George's strike.
James Garner withdrew from the Manchester United match with cramp, and Christian Nørgaard remains sidelined heading into the Tottenham trip. The manager made just one change to the side that started against United, sending on Brennan Johnson for Iliman Ndiaye, from a squad of eighteen outfield players.
Tottenham have taken just one point from their opening three league games and had never previously failed to score in their first four matches of a season, a record now under threat. Roberto de Zerbi's side are one of only two Premier League clubs, along with Aston Villa, yet to find the net this season, and the Italian has made eight changes to his starting eleven already, the most of any manager in the division. Spurs spent around £160m on ten new signings over the summer, having needed Joao Palhinha's 43rd-minute goal on the final day of last season just to avoid relegation.
Everton sit eighth in the Premier League on five points after three games, with a goal difference of plus two having scored five and conceded three, and their recent form reads two wins, three draws and no defeats in their last five games. That leaves them four points behind leaders Manchester City. Tottenham, for all their struggles, have lost just once in their last seventeen home league games against Everton.
Everton's next league fixture after this trip is at home to Ipswich Town, who sit fourteenth, on Saturday, 19 September, and the full run of games is on our fixtures page. The squad picked for the United draw showed just that one alteration, while the injuries list features only Nørgaard for now. Everton's place in the standings will face another test if they can end Tottenham's poor home record against them.
